Just thought of something...
Has anyone heard from esams lately? I saw him out at the track probably about 2months ago but never got to go talk to him...I was just looking at old pms and saw one in there from him and realized how long it had been since I have seen anything of him.

He and his girl have been real busy getting ready to buy a house. He's been coming on only for the TPI forum. He'll answer PM's. I tried to get him down for the Tucson thing. Tried being the key word.

You asked for it!!!!
Back in 85-86 my little brother had a '79 Trans Am, our friend Brian, an epileptic, had a 76 Firebird, their friend Randy had THIS 80 Pace Car and I had an 82 Trans Am. We all hung out together.
As time moved on Brian wrecked and repaired the 76, my little bro. wrecked the 79 and Randy sold this 80 to his brother AJ. As I was going into the Army my little bro. got the 82, he needed a car and I didn't or something like that, which he later wrecked, and Brian wrecked the 76 for the final time. After a couple years Brian convinced AJ to sell him this 80. 7 Years ago, the day after I set foot in Phoenix
, Brian had a seizure while driving in his little pickup, hit a tree and was killed instantly.
I couldn't make it back for the ceremonies, which was really tough. My little bro. was given this 80 by Brian's Dad.
My little bro. can barely drive, let alone take care of a car, and so for the last 6 years I've been trying to get him to give me the car. Late last week he called me for some seemingly trivial information (My parent's street #s (they live on a farm on only recently got an address other than a P.O. box)) and when pressed for a reason informed me he was giving the car to charity for the tax write-off.
I offered him cash for the amount of the write-off, $1500. Now I have to get it here.
Details:
1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo Indy Pace Car
40,000 original miles
un-restored
Only parts known to be changed are the tires, battery, front rotors and calipers.
It's had a bra on it all of it's life. The hood bird decal has some minor tearing and wrinkling. There was no rust or rot the last time I saw it.
It starts and runs, as Dad has driven it every other month or so.
It needs a DEEP cleaning, a complete fluid refresh and a complete tune-up. The turbo is in good condition. There is some minor electrical work to be done under the hood in reference to the A/C and the compressor will probably have to be replaced in order for the A/C to work.
If anyone can put it back together and get it looking nice, it's me. If I can't, I don't know what I'll do.
By the time I pay the little bro. his money and get enough in the bank for shipping it will be late Feb. Then look out!!!
