Yeah but after looking under that hood, I say it needs a 406 with a fuel injection system and twin garrett turbochargers on a 406 with brodix heads and a seat bottom made out of Depends !

Rotflmao, I know you'll keep it all stock Chris but man would that be a fun lifelong project car or what !!!

Chris, you need to send me some more pics via email. Put that 5 gig camera to work.

With that being said, you know what is going to happen when an admin (or Bruce!) sees this thread. You are such a bad man for posting non-third gen stuff. J/K

Oh, and IBTL.

I towed it home from Minnesota because I was in the neighborhood for x-mas. Turns out our families only live 20 miles from each other, talk about a coincidence! It really is an amazing car. Only 33k on the clock and it's 24 yrs. old. What a cool piece of history really. The full size bird just does it for me!

We demand more pics, there is no reason to lock this thread.

For petes sake there are ford guys as members of this board posting fartstangs and I have even viewed threads with riccer pics.

Locking down the thread would be like locking out family.

Nonsense!

Wow, havn't even been a mod for 3 weeks and I've already made a name for myself! WooHoo! But alas, I cannot bring myself to lock this thread. I've been waiting for Chris to get some pics of that car up! I too want some pics of that car! Stick my e-mail next to Toms...

Hopefully no one will lock this thread. Being as I am a mod on this board, I vote to keep it open.

I have not seen any threads with either Mustangs or imports pics. I know that I will not allow it on my regular boards. Being as this is a regional one, we are allowed A LITTLE more room to play with. Just do not get carried away.

Chris, how about deleting the pics after, say 2 weeks. Maybe post a link to them on your site. This is just a thought.

I had a hard time sleeping last night. I kept wanting to run out and put the drive shaft back on it and take it for a spin

I've wanted this car since I first saw it in '85, and to see it parked out in front of the house is fantastic.

I'll get photos up ASAP. I HAVE to work today, but I should have some daylight left this afternoon to get the DS on and get some pictures of it in the sun.

C

OK one more from last night..

Once I can drive my car anywhere but to work and back I'll have to make a trip out to your neck of the woods to see her up close and personal

Cool! can't say I'm a fan of the wheels or the bra, but the screaming chicken is totally badass! I think it's only appropriate to give you the rock on smiley, so here you go:

So which one comes to the gatherings?

Ok, I got a little done this afternoon. It starts and runs, pulls like nobodies business, and sounds like it has an exhaust leak on the drivers side.

I found a couple more things that need attention, but I did get pictures taken.

http://members.***.net/80pacecar

The last picture is not resized. You'll see every flaw in that picture.

I'll see if I can't buff the front end out, but it will probably need to be repainted. I hated the bra on it as well.

The wheels stay. They are kind of cool in person. Like the rest of the car they are filthy, but repairable.

When I was at work today I walked out to the parking lot and there was a guy waiting outside in a metallic-blue 79' TransAm. I went up to talk to him (Well, he just happend to be there ) and he told me he was pushing a 402 in that beast. Had the big FireBird on the hood, too! Gah, that was a pretty car!
