Interior project complete
Finally finished the visor monitor install. I use it to watch myself pull into my garage so I don't hit the wall and still have enought room to close the garage door.

The whole set up was just shy of $300. With the monitor being the big ticket item of @ $200.00.
The monitor is from LLC. I'm sure its some cheap Asian brand. I'm actually not happy with how low quality the monitor is. The picture is ok. But its made real cheap.

The inputs are a wireless camera in my garage. It's fixed on the front of the car so I don't smack the wall when I pull in.
No other inputs for now. I don't know if I will do a DVD. Maybe some day.

There are two a/v inputs in a unit under the dash. One is for the receiver from the wireless camera. The other is for anything I want to add.

There is a wire running from the receiver in the center console compartment to a unit under the passenger side of the dash. This unit (about the size of a bar of soap) also powers the monitor. I spliced in to the constant power wire on the radio. From there a wire runs upward through the dash and up the passenger side window pillar under the trim. Then under the headliner pad and into the unit. You can not see a wire anywhere. Not even at the monitor. It's threaded through the trianglular visor mount.
It also has a remote control. Just in case I get lazy and don't want to reach across the car. It sits in the ashtray next to the remote for the stereo.

So the input to the monitor is just an RCA (phono plug, etc..) input? Or is it a BNC (looks like a police scanner antenna input)?
What's the diagonal on the monitor? I assume the input power is 12V.
