Well it was a good time and I wish I didn't have to work tonight. I also wish the RS ran better.

So it was good to meet everyone.

James,

Did you end up beating 16.3 in the formula?

Just got back...what a trip. What a thrill it was watching everyone show up and having a BBQ with pics and then going to the races!! Special thanks to Chef Tom for cooking up most of the grub, and Preston for all the awesome pics.

It felt great to have this all come together. What a great bunch of guys and gals. Can't wait to do it again. Awesome cars, especially Bill's. Sorry you couldn't get the times you wanted. Our 95LT1 had a bad night again as well. Will have to figure out whats wrong with the tune etc before spending more money to go to the track.

I had a lot of good conversation with Snuffy too...that was cool. Thanks to everyone for making this happen. I had a great time with a classy group of people. All hail the thirdgen!!

I couldn't get it to beat the first run out there. I'm just going to retire the car from track use for a while until I'm able to freshen it up a bit. That might be quite some time as now I have to get the IROC up and going after David's taunts Also, we're going to be looking into having the tranny in the Z28 looked at and possibly rebuilt.

I was talking to my buddy about how the car was shifting and he mentioned it's probably the governor...

OMG....went home thru New river Rd last night as we usually do and drove right into a huge gathering of illegal street racing! It was freakin awesome. We're driving around new river and next thing I know everyone is pulled over to the side. Break lights everywhere. I can see way up ahead theres a few cars facing us and one is flashing his high beams on and off, so I'm thinking theres an accident. I decide I ain't waiting around so I pull out with the Blazer behind me and we start to slowly make our way around the cars that are pulled over and two cars are coming toward us really fast and I think the cops are chasing someone. Nope...street racers.

So we keep driving and there are cars everywhere and people all over the place for about a mile. We're going thru all this slowly because there a several cars in front of us and as soon as I realized it was street racers I started revving...lol

I'd let the car gurgle at idle and then I'd stomp the gas. Gurgle gurgle WOMP, gurgle gurgle WOMP...everyone's looking at us going, what the hell is that? WOMP WOMP....It was freaking awesome. I knew they did street racing on NR but I had never been thru there when they were doing it. Camaropimp turned around and stayed. Left his car and walked about half mile towards the racing when someone yelled the cops were there. Everyone scrambled to the cars and he was the last one out. Had to run all the way back to his car with his friend. Took off towards Prescott and as they came around a curve with lots of racers behind them a huge barricade of about 10 cops had blocked off the road...LOL

They all turned around real quick and now Camaropimp was last in line and sure enough after a minute or two he could see the cops chasing after them. He started passing people in the opposite lane going about 90mph he said and finally made it back to Rt74 and had to go around and head back home. He was crapping his pants...LOL. He said he saw a Geo smoke a 4th gen firebird real bad. I thought that was funny. I saw mostly imports as I was driving thru and some stangs, but I was smart enought to keep going. That's ok, I had fun revving on all those chumps. Didn't get hiome until 230am and in bed at 330am. But i'm up now...
