Another get together would be nice. I went to the last one last year with Tom84ss and we all had a pretty good time.

Cap'n hasn't been on the board for awhile. Maybe I should give him a call and see what he's up to. But it would be nice to have a thirdgen gathering.

You guys should get together, but as I said last time...someone else should head one up. Let me know when and where. I'm getting ready to take the 85 off the road and drive the 95 but I can still use it until I tear it down for strictly track use.

Well if we do this anytime soon its going to be hot a heck but i would say we could try for the 1st or 2nd weekend in May, which ever you have off. I will be out of town in Cali on the 4th and 5th or May, but i can make it if we have the meeting on the 6th im sure. So Capt. which one of these weekends do you have off?

I have the second weekend off which is the 13th on a Saturday. What time we gonna get there and who is going? There is a fee to rent the spot and a fee to get in. I will find out what they are.

I will call today to reserve a spot. It's first come first serve and May is not far off. I hope there is room available. I will try for a Ramada like we had last time.

Yeah there was a fee per car i think to get in, and whatever the fee to reserve a spot we can all bring a extra 5 or 10 bucks to cover that fee for you. Plus if we do that maybe we can cover some food costs for someone if we want to do it like that. Or we can all bring something like last time to eat and drink, which might be easier.

The fee is 40 dollars to rent a space and 5 dollars to get in per car. Last time I paid the space fee and brought enough food for everyone just to make sure we had some. If you want to bring your own food thats fine with me. Will we be going to speedworld to drag race like last time or just a BBQ?
Things needed:
Good turnout
BBQ grill (if we don't want to use theirs)
Camera
Video recorder
drinks
food
fee for track (racing)
Did I forget anything?

I can bring the cam, or at least 1 of them. The more people that bring one, the better. I might be able to bring a Broadcast quality camera if my bro lets me borrow his.

I was in Phoenix this past weekend for the Nascar race and when we left for home yesterday, we stopped at Chili's somewhere in Phoenix before heading out and I saw the back end of a nice 3rd gen TA. So I said to my friend to pull over there so I could see it.
Well, turns out it was a Mecham racing Pontiac TA with an 871 blower and all the goodies. A red t-top and silver gfx with slicks, roll cage and the works. The guy came out while I was drooling over it. We had a great conversation and I invited him to these boards and the BBQ. Looks like he may be coming. His name is Jeff. I hope he makes it. I have his number and will call him.
I think I have decided not to pull my car off the road for track use only. After seeing his car and hearing it, I may keep it for road use and track and do mine up like his. He was running nitrous as well. Best et he had at Speedworld was a high 9 but they told him not to come back until he gets a chute. Right now he is working on getting a hood and chute. This car is the ****z!!! When I can post a pic I will do it. Anyway, back to the list...

Hello,
This is my first post on this board. I've been a lurker for a while. I would like to attend your get together. I believe the per car day pass admission to Lake Pleasant is $6.

Here's the skinny on the reservation...They are sending the form to me today. The fee is 50 dollars for Ramada "B." Can't remember which one we had last year but it has 4 tables and a grill. We have the spot from 10am to 6pm. That is 8 hours this year instead of the 4 we had. We need to pick a time to actually meet there to insure noone takes the spot even tho it's reserved. If we can get there for 10-11am that would be cool. Let me know.
if i go, im going to speedworld and SOMEONE will bring a helmet for me... lol, i might bring my buddy with his 3rdgen Supra too.. haha, its got about 500+ to the wheels, could be fun... haha and i will probably be coming out friday night, then waking up early and going so 10 is fine, if i remember how to get there... lol

Is the event being held on the Maricopa Water District entrance (Marina/East) side of the lake or the Lake Pleasant Regional Park entrance (West) side of the lake?
