Hey guys, I just got a diagnostics test done on my car. I need a new prom. I don't know where to start so this is it. AZTPI wanted $425 for a new one. Way too much for me. Post a reply with any ideas, offers, or how I can get one(prom). Also, I need a charcoal / vapor canister. Even a pic. from a stock engine so I can see how to hook up the char. can up right, regaarding the vacuum lines. I am not sure if mine is the right one either.

I'd say start calling junkyards and seeing if they have any TPI 'maros. There was one at the Pick-a-part in Mesa a few months ago but I believe it's gone now.

Hey 92WhiteZ28, I just installed tpi on my 87 bird and am having the same problem. Will start with starting fluid and then there after a few times. Lets work together and maybe we can figure out both problems.

check all plugs, check the dist. make sure its on right. ps if you guys are free on the 15th of dec ill be out there with my z28, and hey myroc.... i got a new engine put in a 383 now

other than that, not sure why it wouldn't start unless its not getting fuel.

the fuel pump primes, and the filter is brand new. havnt checked fuel pressure, but am going too. should have problem solved pretty soon. hopefully by wednesday, its supposed to go in for body work.

Its been pretty chilly out at the Pavillions,but I am willing to go most any Saturday. Lets try to meet up and do a short ride on the way to the pavs. Any ideas guys? We could meet by the Chillis, on Sapley & 60. West side of Stapley I think there's a Sonic or something for us to eat and wait for the rest of the guys to get there. What ya'll think, is Saturday a bad day to try to go? I'm open for it.Who's in???

Hey guys, Aaron here. I've been trying to find a good location to meet at and I came up with RALLY BURGER on University & Priest in Tempe. How about 4:00pm. Then we could all take off and drive by 4:15 pm. Here's the link to a map for it.

Well, missed the trip tonight because of wife sickness and fuel injector o-ring leaking in the bird. But good new - Bird is fixed and carb to tuned port swap became a success so far. Just need to make sure it will start up in the morning. It's been hard start at first but after about 6 or 7 tries, she fires. Drove it tonight too. My speedometer is off due to my rear axle swap as well. My new brakes are great - have rear disc now. Have a humming in rear of car - I think it's the brakes, but could be a bearing in the diff. Any suggestions on what the hard start could be, I'm open for ideas. I've already replaced ECM, MAF, oil pressure switch, IAC, Distributer, cap and rotor, wires, plugs, injectors are good. Not sure what else is to be done to get this thing consistant without using a scanner that I don't have. On test drive there was no check engine light - That's a plus. Runs good and feels good. Just need to calibrate speedo and pass emissions. Wish me luck!

Sorry about the no call, Ryan. I came home and had to make the wife dinner. After that it was getting too late to make it up there. We will definately have to make it up there next weekend. I will see if the guy Aaron got me hooked up with can get my car to pass emissions. I will look at the harness sometime tomorrow. Really shouldn't take me too long to figure it out. I know where all the connectors go and with the diagram will be able to figure out the cut and wrongfully spliced wires go. Will talk to you tomorrow.

that would be badass. to be honest i wasnt too into going tonight anyways, and figured you wouldnt call. i really appreciate your help on the iroc. gimme a call tommorow sometime after 1pm or so. id like to get that ducting, just tell me how much cash ud like to get for it. i think im going to clean up the motor on the 92 some tommorow so it would be cool to get that in there. maybe ill drive it up to ur place.
