Need a cheap alternator around Tucson

Well, after getting my car home and running, the alternator took a crap. The wife is getting a little upset over me putting money into my new baby, so does anyone have an extra laying around to sell or know a good place in tucson to get one. I have already rebuilt it, but I think it is just delaying the inevitable. The rebuild only brought the charge back up to 12 volts. Her truck now needs work and that is what the kids ride in, so now I gotta do that. Thanks, MAC

According to online they have to order it. But i also have to drop about 400.00 in O2 sensors on the wife's truck and 180 on a MAF. The military doesn't pay that well. I will probably have to just suck it up and buy a new one. Thanks, MAC

sounds like it is time for lykis 101. http://www.blowmeuptom.com/

I was married, provided the wife with a new slk230 benz, etc, etc. She still tried to tell me how to spend my hard earned money and constantly (everyday) needed more $$. This is not 1950, just ask our govener "Man"et Napolitano. Time to manup and tell her to pay for her own repairs or stop posting your dirty laundry on the internet.

flame suit on

I think I paid 79.99 for the alt w/a $20 core charge @ autozone

It has nothing to do with manning up. My wife stays home to take care of my children and take my son to therapies because he is autistic. The alternators aren't that expensive, but I have other things to pay for. She gets upset everytime I buy something for my project, but she'll get over it like she always does. I was just asking if anyone knew where to get a cheaper one or if they had an extra to sell. Parts for my wife's truck aren't cheap. I would rather my kids ride in something dependable than buy more parts for my project.
