Re: firebird wagon

Wasn't that an option that g.m was toying with at the same time they came out with the notchback?

Re: firebird wagon

They were made by ******* (The same company that makes truck bed covers and shells.) They were available through some GM dealers as a dealer-installed option. I think they called it: "Sportback" or something like that. I have only seen one of these in person. (was sitting on the showroom floor of the chevy dealer.)

LOL, that would be funny! I can see it now... "Hey kids! Tired of sitting in the back of your parents unsightly, slow caprice wagon? Now you can get dis-oriented in style!" LOL.

Re: firebird wagon

That was the Kammback style design car & was never sold to the public. So no, those hatches were never made available to the public nor offered an a Dealer option or by the aftermarket. Don't know where drknow ever got that idea. ******* may have built the prototype for GM as a concept idea, but it was never sold to the public.

Search on TGO for 'Kammback' & you wil find lots of threads about it. There was even a 4th gen styling concept car, that was never offered for production, nor by the aftermarket.

The Kammbacks were all design idea cars. None were ever sold to the public. And nobody has ever made an aftermarket kit for one.
