Just talked to Don sounds like he is questionable, but Kevin, James, Mike, and I are four sure, possibably Vincent and Raul.
Mike - you don't need to call me now.

I'm out

But I'll be there with Kevin, I just don't want to risk injury again as it was too severe and painful this time. Two days of feeling normal "Hooray"

Check this out, they're changing the layout of the pit area:

*** ADVISORY ***

8/5/03

STREET LEGAL DRAG RACING THIS SATURDAY NIGHT;

PIT LOCATION MOVED CLOSER TO DRAG STRIP

WHO: Street legal drag racers, spectators and media

WHAT: NHRA Street Legal Saturday Summer Nights Drag Racing Program at California Dragway.

WHEN: Saturday, August 9th

WHERE: California Speedway, 9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana

The quarter-mile California Dragway is located in Parking Lot 1 behind the speedway’s main grandstands.

TIME: Tickets go on sale and Tech Inspection begins at 2 p.m. For early arrivals, a holding area in Parking Lot 2, formerly the pit area, will open at Noon with admission sales starting at 2 p.m. Racing is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. All activities will conclude at 11 p.m.

COST: For participants and fans, the price is $10 per person to enter the speedway and $10 for race participants to purchase a Tech Card ($20 total for racers). Tech Cards will be limited to the first 500 racers.

NOTES: Remaining dates for the Street Legal Saturday Summer Nights Drag Racing Program at California Dragway are: August 16, 23, 30; September 6, 13

2003 rules for participation are available at www.californiaspeedway.com.

The Pit Area for the Street Legal Drags will change with this weekend’s event. The new location will be in Parking Lot 1 adjacent to the quarter-mile strip. The change will allow racers waiting to make their run a better vantage point to watch the racing and give spectators more opportunities to view the cars up close. In addition, the Tech Inspection area will also be located in the new Pit Area. The pre-staging line will also change, with all run groups staging just west of the drag strip grandstands and then passing in front of the grandstands heading to the line. The previous pit area was located in Parking Lot 2.

SPONSOR: California Dragway is Presented by American Racing Custom Wheels,
Auto Club and King Taco.

For additional information, please call California Speedway at 909-429-5000 or log on to www.californiaspeedway.com.
