Besides myself, who else on this board has one on their car? There should also be a battle of the Super Ram.

Hey vincent just noticed we are in the same city. Whenever my car decides to get out of the body shop we will have to pin them against each other.

But you might need some nitrous to play with mine

Man I cant wait for this car to be finished. I want to open that engine up, let those AFR's sing, and repave the roads with the rubber from my tires and the loss of self worth from those that I beat hehe

I might need a little bigger cam though, but for the street I think it will be good. I expect 425...

The sad part is.....you'll be stuck being a street racer and picking on R.I.C.E. until you get a full cage installed.

I know. I will forever be playing with R.I.C.E The car is getting the equivalent of a $6k paint job, $3k in the interior, and another $12+ in the drivetrain... So I am not putting in a bar to ruin all of that lol Now on the GTA I plan on buying one of these days, that will get something special and may get a 4 point or so. That would keep me legal into the 12's right?

I believe you are legal down to 12.0 without a cage, as long as it is not a convertable. If you get into the 11's you need a cage, and I think they require a 6 point welded in.

No, you just need one-off specially fabricated runners that nobody else can currently purchase or can be purchased anytime in the conceivable near future. I'm thinking about a sheet-metal (aluminum) intake myself

Does this count?
It does in my book but unless you plan on packing a 200-shot of NAWS you'll only be competitive with the 305 TBI verts

Sorry Vince, but by the time you are ready I won't meet the qualifications for your little dance

Excuse me, The ones Allen has are just like ours, from the factory.
Or maybe you haven't seen them yet.

Good show on the "sheet metal deal" that would be awesome

I guess you forgot about that link I posted on NHRA's website that says you must have a 6-point roll bar installed for convertibles running faster than 13.99. Plus you need a helmet, and a 5-point seatbelt harness as well.

http://www.nhra.com/contacts/tech_faq.html

Sounds like you either need to "ruin" your car, or go buy a hardtop to go fast in.

I have seen them. They have some similarities but they are not still not like yours. AS&M makes a siamese version of the LTR as well.

Look partner, This ain't no drag car, nor is a 305 TBI. I will however run against any of you heads up in AutoX in the V6- But on street tires only. I'm not about to spend money on racing rubber for this car- Its the wifes grocery getter.

What? We're not allowed to modify our parts now? Nobody told me. I still have the 50-state legal certification on my runners.

I didnt purchase my runners, I (Jerry) modified what we had to make them better. True hot rodding. Anyone else can do what he did.

With the amount of knowledge that Jerry has and the time he invested to work on those runners, I find it very hard to believe that anyone could do what he did to those runners.

You're the one that will be loose after the Candy Cane is done with you.

I meant, anyone with a mechanical degree and the tools he has, not just anyone in particular.

But I also got a deal on the paint job which means it sits till he gets time But yeah branden is faster than my car right since I dont even have an engine, but once I do.... You all better duck down and hide hehe
