LT1 Swap Progress

I guess this is turned into more than an LT1 swap. In the past week or so, the 305 was removed along with my interior, much of which will not go back again. New carpet is on its way, as well as GTA door panels, APC seats, new headliner, and an assortment of other things from a pretty good amount of spent paychecks.

The LT1 block will be going to a machine shop sometime soon to be hot tanked and have the heads bored .030 over. I've never had this done before, so I'm not really sure what I should be looking for and how much I should expect to pay. Any advice?

Other than that, other mods are a suprise...

Looks like a lot of work ahead. Should be real nice when you get it all completed. By the way I would not get my heads bored .030 over. Allen

There is HDS machine shop and he is the best around your area (Escondido). rates for machining vary from shop to another. let me give you a genral idea:
magna flux (check for crack) $25
bore and hone with torque plates $125
cam installing $30
and there is more things involved, let me know I can help.

Good luck, don't forget that if you are going for more lift you better invest in an LT4 Knock module vs the LT1 module.

P.S. I hope you were able to put it somewhere out of the rain
