Tranny cooler lines...

The original tranny cooler lines on my GTA got all messed up after removing the tranny to get the front oil-pump seal/bearing replaced.

I went to a couple of junkyards, but I couldn't any decent cooler lines. People either cut the lines when they remove the engine/trannies or they're in much worse condition than the lines I already have.

Since new pipe would look alot better and the hex fittings wouldn't be all rounded off like used pipe, I went to a few autoparts places to see if I can find sticks of preflared 5/16" tubing. Unfortunately, the only 5/16" tubing I can find are sticks of shiny steel galvanized pipe with gold zinc oxide fittings. WTF?

Does anyone here know where I can find sticks of pre-flared 5/16" tubing in "green/gray" galvanized steel with 1/2" black-oxide fittings like the original pipe? If so, is there perhaps a (Gates?) part no. for this particular item?

Lon,

If possible, can you describe the condition of the spare set of lines you have available?

Thanks.

Sorry I can't help you after all. I was cleaning the lines and found out the shorter of the pair has a crack near the lower radiator connector. Trash day is tomorrow. Out they go.

Thanks for trying Lon.

Don,

Will you be at the shop the week after X-mas? Or, will you be going on vacation or something?? Just curious.
