We are talking about it. Want to get it done before the next race at Fontana. Hehehehehe. Heck I'll be happy to get 340RWHP. You must have done another mod(s) to be looking for 380 to 390 RWHP.
Now next year will be another story. Desk Top Dyno looks very good for my future mods. Maybe to good.
Don looks good to gain some HP now that he has his fuel problem solved.
Yep, with Ken getting his car tuned it will be an interesting year.

You will have to go to a 383 to keep out front. But then that put's you in a different class.

I'm making some "changes" this weekend. So a Dyno session would be helpful to try them out.

Vincent just wants another chance to be at the top of the horsepower list.

I think what it is, The dyno sessions are just exciting
I have no clue who the most rwhp n/a street legal is here with the club?
I was wondering what you all are doing for that search of extra hp.. I would sometime like to try and do an Air Intake such as Jerry's set up for Kevin.. What actually did it free up in the air intake? Would I have to modify my Density boot? Just considering since there not available with ease..

I would probably make as much hp as you Branden but not as much torque considering you have a 383 and I have a 355. The intake snorkle made 8hp on Kevin's car.

Yeah and a Broken one if that.. Vincent is on the right track now.. he finally was able to upgrade that t-5..
I was short a few things with my pulls.. The Fans and the street wot tuning, car only brought out to 5,600-5800 maybe they could have pushed it a lil more.. But they considering a 383 and a fresh broken in engine
Maybe I can reach 400 rwhp with the Air intake and the more tuning that has been done.. Esp the timing with the dfi.. Yeah the 8 hp would be great.. Im not looking to gain any big hp after Im back running.. Vincent is making Nice rwhp for a 355 and his Combo.. His is different then everyone's here..

This may be a dumb question but.....
Are these cars street legal and pass smog?
It will be at least another year before I go with a new motor and tranny set-up, but was wondering what the challenges I will be up against when it comes time for the sniffer.
I'd love a good 340 to 350 RWHP, but am wondering just how much problems this will cause in keeping it legal.
I don't want my car to be limited to track runs only and I've read posts on here with someone pushing just under or near 500hp and being able to pass the sniffer.
Forget who owns the car though.
I think they got it up to 520hp and it would not pass.
With modern cars showing 340hp plus..... I don't dare to think to challenge someone at a light with my weak 172hp 305.
I usually wait for a old VW bug or something.

Most all the cars here are Cali smog legal.. There are a few like Rwb_S that are building them as a hobby and track cars etc..
One important thing in building a performance Ca smog car.. Is a tuner.. Kevin does an outstanding job.. I never have had a problem with smog with his tuning experience..
