Are you building a race only car? You can't get any carb passed smog in a 1988 Z28.

89 TA, you should get the Super Ram. You need it for that stroker you have. And you may also need it to try your best to get around me.

Why are you converting to carburetor and being illegal? All the fast cars in this club are TPI, and legal.

i know my car ran a 12.6, you probably know the car, (8T8IROC)'S old car. He basically said he kept it tpi because it was his daily driver.

1. im not really into TPI. Im sure there great if thats what your into.
2. i have a smog guy.
3. cant stand all the engine compartment clutter. even it actually didnt look bad. just not for me.

Awww man, you're gonna hack up Randy's old car and put an antique carb setup on it? Sorry, man I cant support that. Sell the car to someone who appreciates TPI and EFI and is willing to make it work. Go buy yourself a car with a carb on it and make that work. That car is too nice to be vandalized like you suggest. Don and I and Randy and Rusty put a lot of work into that setup.

Nothing personal, but I cant stand it when someone converts a TPI car to carb. Its hacked and vandalized in my opinion no matter how nice it looks. TPI engines belong in thirdgens. Especially one as nice as that was, and it even ran well, too. Oh well, have fun with it.

Re: lpe/Accel superram plenum and runners!

Randy old car will run faster with a better tune. It was never really tuned like it should have been. From what we know now, that car will run in the low 12's or hi 11's with the same set up if you give a chance. Oh by the way, if you go carb you will burn more gas than ever. Leave it TPI then you will get the best of both worlds. DON'T BE A FOOL!

Re: lpe/Accel superram plenum and runners!

Ivan, Lae with the 83 Trans Am, and I cant remember the guys name with the 87 or 88 383 IROC, were one of the few in this club with carb setups that ran well. Lae's was a best of 13.99 at Fontana, and the other guy went 12.50 or so, I think. Neither one was smog legal either, even for carb setups. I'll stick with my TPI, get 25+ miles per gallon on the highway, and remain smog legal, thank you.
