newb in socal SD

whats sup third gen!! the names derrick but everyone calls me drock.born and rasied in long beach ca.but stay in san diego now.didnt move back home after i got out the navy.heres the deal.ive been into cars all my life.i was big into imports most of the time.but ive always loved muscle cars feel me? ive always wanted a camaro,and finally ive gotten one.today or should i say tonight.to all my friends ive crossed over to the dark side.lol!!well call me darth vader cause im in love with my maro.
heres what i know so far...im still learning so bear with me.its a 1983 camaro Z23.350 swap.edlebrock intake,flow master exhaust,header,b&m short shifter,(still getting use to that),5 speed tranny with 383 gears,recaro seats,and old skool maro rally rims.ive been buying chevy mag and camaro mag to learn as much as i can about my car.oh yeah instead of drum brakes its been swaped out for disk brakes.i plan on adding more performance parts i just dont know where to start.im thinking getting some machine work and boring it 30 over.like i said im new to the v8 world an i want to learn as much as i can.hopefully meet some like minded maro lovers to kick it with and have fun.the pic in my sig is the whip.so with that im out and hopefully ill meet some of yall some day((((IM OUT!!!!)))))

You dont bore an engine block to get more performance out of it. You bore it because the cylinder walls are scratched and its not usable as is. The extra 5 cubic inches are just a bonus and not worth much overall.

Welcome to the SoCal group! Almost all of us are fuel injected TPI so we wont be much help in the engine department. You can check out the Carb forum for info from those guys.

clean car are you keeping the wheels or swapping, some single line irocs would look good on it, some different rims would make the car looks so much better imo. and the million dollar ? whats car is better at least for you your previous import or the camaro. i know when i swapped my old integra for my iroc i did not look back, only import i plan on owning is a sport bike lol

yeah i think my camaro is my favorite car so far.i dont think ill ever go back to owning and import.unless i get my hands on an evo.but thats not happening.i have too many plans for my car.i plan on getting some corvette z06 rims.i took some new recent pictures so here are a couple plus a video of my car at the shop today getting a custom steiner cam install.will have the after video when i go pick it up.
