SC3G August Meeting & Sunset Cruise Sunday August 7th, 2011 @ 3PM
Our August meeting will be held at:
Ruby’s Diner
245 North Harbor Drive
Redondo Beach, CA 90277
(310) 376-7829
Ruby's Diner
Map
We have reserved the patio as well as a portion of the parking lot. We will receive 2 hours of free parking with a Ruby’s Diner validation. After the 2 hours is up, it is $2 for each additional hour. It shouldn’t be a problem as we will be departing for the sunset cruise well before our time is up.
Our meeting will be held outside on the patio portion of the diner so we can enjoy the ocean breeze and our cars as a backdrop.
The cruise route will be through the switchbacks of Palos Verdes, down through San Pedro, over the Vincent Thomas Bridge, through Downtown Long Beach, and if there is enough interest… end with a bonfire at Huntington Beach. Final destination for the cruise will be determined by the membership at the meeting.
SC3G Track Day deposits $40 are nonrefundable and will be collected at this meeting so if you are unable to attend this meeting and would like to participate in track day please make sure and contact me. Remember, we are limiting the field to 20 cars in the interest of maximizing our track time. Pertinent information regarding SC3G Track Day will be posted as soon as the tentative date (August 26) has been confirmed by Adams Motorsports Park.
This is our Los Angeles South Bay Meet in the rotation this year so all of you South Bay third gen owners this one is for you. So if you are south of the 105 and west of Long Beach we’re counting on you to show us some serious South Bay representation on August 7th. As always our meetings are open to all members from all areas and 3rd Gen owners so please feel free to pop in and say hello!
As always if you have any additional questions or if there is any additional information I might be able to provide you with please don’t hesitate to ask.
See you there!

I've been getting a lot of texts and emails asking if you have to be a member of SC3G to come to this meeting/event. The answer is NO. This is our normal bimonthly club meeting and as always all 3rd gen owners are welcome to come out and see what we are all about. So feel free to come out, have a burger with us, and cruise the coast with a ton of your fellow 3rd gen owners

Well I'm out for the cruise. My Camaro took a dive after I had the front brakes replaced on Saturday. Now I need new hoses, a complete fluid flush. The mechanic didn't even close up the master cylinder cover on from one side.

Well I did order a new Goodridge braided hose kit from www.lingenfelter.com . Had to contact Goodridge to get the right part number for front disc/rear drum F Body vehicles; Part# 12216.
So hopefully I should have them in by Thursday. $140.00 including two day shipping. So here's hoping i'm ready. As for the flushing, i'm thinking about buying the Motive bleeder.

Looks like I will not make it this Sunday. I am having a no start issue, I have no spark. I am having the car towed to a shop in the morning and if they can fix it in time I will make it, though chances are slim.Bummer I really wanted to attend, last years cruise was great. Take lots of pictures guys....

Thanks Mike, 2 mechanics and 1 electrician stumped. I was thinking of going out to the meeting in my truck but I have a friend coming over so we can keep trying to figure out the problem, can not waste any time I need the car running by Adams. I will be pulling out the alarm system in a bit maybe it is that ( fingers crossed ). Have fun guys and be safe.

12 confirmations on our Facebook page, 8 that have confirmed with me telephonically, and 9 maybes... So that will work out to a sold 20-25 cars.
It's kind of a long way for you to come especially if you aren't going on the cruise. We'll be having another meeting/cruise in the SCV later this year so if you can't make it, no worries

Thanks to everyone for coming out and spending their Sunday afternoon with some fellow gear heads. I think it's safe to say that we all had a blast!
