It's Huuugge!

The new Fry's in N. Whittier. Crossroads Parkway exit off the 60 fwy. Think of it as FAO Schwartz meets Gotham City. A "Toy Store" for adults. I didn't take the time to check everything out. Just grabbed what I needed and split, but I'll be back when time permits. Can anyone guess how many registers there are at checkout? Lon

Is that your first trip to a fry's? I've been lucky enough to live pretty close to two. They are all huge and have about 50 registers. Even more impressive is when there is a half hour line and all registers are in use.

I've been to Fry's before. 50 registers? Guess again.

It still has a "Grand Opening" banner hung outside. But I think all the "Specials" are over. Last weekend was the big G.O. I stayed away. I was in & out with my new cable modem in record time.

I don't know how many cash registers they have. I went by to check it out after work today. The line of cars making a left turn into the parking lot stretched to Workman Mill Road. I went in to the right off the 60 freeway, and drove around for about 15-20 minutes. The parking lot is 1/2 the size it needs to be. Their must have been 200 cars circling around the parking lot looking for a place to park. I gave up and left. They need a parking lot like the one at the City of Industry Walmart. The one they have needs to be double decked NOW!
