Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could post some pics of what the front suspension on a 3rd gen looks like. I have been trying to look at mine but it is dark in a dirt driveway with a jack.
Thanks.
I wanted to know because I was thinking about what a aftermarket or custom made front clip would look like.
Thanks for your help:hail: :hail: :hail:

I still have a question. The spindle is connected to the A-arm, and the steering bar linkage thing. Doesn't it need to upper A arm or something to help keep it vertical?
I can not tell if there is one with that picture.

No, the only thing which holds it is the strut , which if you take the plastic cap off found under the hood you will see a single nut. Other than the wieght of the car this is the only thing which holdes the lower control arm up against the coil spring. Do not take off the strut unless the lower control arm is help up by something. Other wish the coil spring will force it down and cause problems. Good luck.

I have to look at that, I don't understand how that can work. Thought hte strut was connected to the A-arm. So does everything just press up against the strut?
Or is teh strut directly connected to the spindle?
It just seems like the spindle and brake mount would just have alot of room to move around.

Strut connects to the spindle with 2 large bolts. There is a bearing under the nut in the engine bay which lets the strut turn when you turn the wheels to go around a corner.
Is it possible to convert a third gen to a coil over strut suspension?
