-what is wrong with my brakes???

I been having trouble with my brakes recently. The symptoms Im getting is that i would press the pedal and my damn foot would feel like its gonna go through the floor, I can hear a big loss of air or something as I press on it and i barely come to a stop.If i pump the pedal I get a lil pressure built up and I can get more response.Last night i took a look at my rotors and pads all around and needed new rotors allround so i replaced the front rotors and pads cause thats all my wallet could handle but still made no difference.Everyday after driving i need to fill my master cylinder right up with fluid.I can se any leaks on my calipers so now my last costly guess would be that the booster has a leak, a drastic one also, would that be the reason why i cant even stop without trying to pump my brakes half a block to stop the car and is that where all my brake fluid is leaking into?

Do you have drums on the back? When my brother bought his RS, the first thing he had to change was both brake cylinders behind the drums as one was squirting fluid out and the other was just a small leak. Check those, check over all the lines and then look into an air leak in your brake booster.

Nope, I have disc all round, and as far as I can tell there is no leaks in the calipers or brake lines,my master cylinder doesnt look like its leaking either.Maybe my diagnosis is a lil off cause im learning automechanics right now in college, but these are the things I noted. No leaks at the lines,calipers,m/c,so all that is left I can think of would be the brake booster. Also I just looked under the car after pressing the brake a couple of times and I do see drops of the fluid under the engine on the left side so I almost 100% sure its the booster or near it.What do you think?

Is it possible your master cyl is leaking into your booster?
Brake fluid would definately mess up the diaphram and may cause a an air rush sound at times, not to mention weak if any boost.
Did ya check the vacuum line going from the booster to the intake?
If it's got brake fluid in it, you will need a new booster for sure, and at least a re-build kit for the master cyl.
That fluid has to be going somewhere.

BTW: I priced a rebuild kit last week at Autozone, same price as a re-manuf master cyl.

Well Im looking at it now and I think you are right.I can see brake fluid dripping down the fron of the booster where the m/c is bolted onto.Another friend said the same thing that it might be leaking into the booster and I do get some boost but not enough.Im going to get a new m/c since the original is very old and rusty, and I hope I wont have to replace the booster but I will definetly check to see if it has fluid in it or not to save myself some cash. Thanks for the help guys.Soon ill be able to stop on a dime again.Man I dont know how cars back in the day came to a stop without brake boosters lol.
