Orientation of rear springs to get an even ride height.

The rear drop springs I installed are not even. There is almost an inch difference between each side. When I was installing them I noticed that the position of the springs had a lot to do with how high the spring sat. Does anyone know where the end of the spring should be on each side? I can't find it in the manual either. I know I saw it on here but I think that was just for the front springs.

Nope, both of the isolators are where they are supposed to be.

A 1" difference is an awful lot. Are you sure the springs are seated correctly?

The orientation of the rears isn't as critical as the fronts. Just make sure BOTH springs are oriented the same and you should be fine.

Seated correctly? As I raised the axle back up I jostled the springs. The bottom of them are seated around the lip... what could I have missed?

Belltech drop springs give you a 1.5" drop correct?

There's also a lip up in the frame. Make sure the springs fit around the lip at the axle AND at the frame.

I'm not sure about the Belltech spindles. Check their web site. Info. should be there.

OK, now I am scared.. after moving the car 20 feet and letting it sit overnight they are now equal. I SWEAR they were different yesterday!! I have a witness!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hey Tim, they could have settled in the movement, possibly from a temperature gradient as well, expanding/contracting with the weather. Good luck with the install, I'm still working on mine, heh
