They'll definitely look cooler, but that's about it. You won't see much of a performance gain. I'd also shop around some more. $110 each is a little pricey. I paid around $70 each for AutoSpecialty cross-drilled rotors from a local shop.

Actually,I noticed an improvement in brake fade. The stock rotors would heat up quickly during hard braking and cause the brakes to be dramatically less effective. But with the new rotors, almost all the brake fade is gone.I would like to step up to some bigger rotors and calipers-the 17's make the rotors look even smaller.
Hey rspeed
hey,, i love your rotors and wheels!!:hail: Where did you get them and how much did they rotors and wheels cost.. I need some stock replacement rotors and i want one just like the powerslotts, So any help is appreciated! Thanks

Thanks. The rotors came from JCWhitney.I can't remember exactly how much, but I wanna say around $70 ea. And the wheels are from groupawheels.com for $238 ea. for 17x9.
I have had the stainlesteel brakes slotted rotors on the car for about a year. it was the 1le brake upgrade kit came with the slotted rotors , they have a little less fade when you brake hard from higher speeds but in my opnion they are more for looks .

Shouldn't you only get slotted rotors if you're racing your car?? I heard the slots are used not to dissipate heat, but to help clean the rotors and ensure a better "bite". So for a daily driver shouldn't you go with cross drilled, or a combo of slotted/drilled ???
Drilled rotors are great for street cars. They reduce brake fade and allow for offgasing of the pads so they remain in contact with the rotor under higher temps giving the pedal a greater "sweet spot"-better feeling and control of the brake pedal. They do however need to be combined with usually a carbon matrix type pad (higher performance and more friction than a metallic pad). Just be carefull when the brake are cold, the car won't stop well until the pads are warmed up. This usually only takes a block or two. Stillen motorsports in Costa Mesa, Calif. offers mild to wild combo's to choose from. http://www.stillen.com/
Slotted rotors are found more on allout racecars. The drilled rotors can warp or even crack under allout hightemp/ highstress braking conditions on a race track corner after corner. Driving on the street can never in ones best attempt duplicate a track condition and speeds, and are just not necessary for the street.
