I have BMR heim-jointed panhard and LCA's. I called BMR and the guy said to just snug up the jam nuts and use locktite if I want. He said he couldn't remember the wrench size. In my stupid haste, I figured a could use a crescent wrench and didn't ask him to check. I can get to the driver's side panhard jam nut, but the crescent is too bulky to get to any of the others.
I measured with calipers and I should need a 1 1/16" wrench. I checked around and I'll have to order one. I have an appointment with Arlington Motorsports Racing for my exhaust and SFC's on Tuesday, 6/4.
If I can't get a wrench by Tuesday, can I get by with driving 30 miles on finger-tightened jam nuts?

I wouldn't even mind stopping halfway or even several times! Do you think I can go a few miles on finger-tightened jam nuts??

 

Hit the local SEARS and get the wrench you need.

If all else fails I think you should be okay to drive 30mi. with the nuts finger snug. Keep in mind they ARE gonna come loose on the road, but the LCA's and PHB would need to turn some to cause any aligment issues.

I don't see that happening over a short distance. Especially since you're using heim joints. There won't be any stress applied to the jam nuts.
