Firehawk Wheels (17") available soon from SLP
For those of you who haven't seen the new Chevy Hi-Po, SLP is running an ad that features the 1992 Firehawk wheels (Ronal) again. I called up and asked a few questions about the wheels:
Price is $1099 for 4 wheels (plus shipping and/or NJ sales tax).
Color is silver (aluminum) with gunmetal grey inside the spokes.
No spacers are neccessary to run on 82-92 F bodies.
Wheel and tire packages should be available (obviously at a higher cost than wheels alone $1799 for BFG Comp TAs?).
If you are local to the SLP facility in NJ, you can pick them up.
As far as I'm concerned, this is good news, as there aren't all that many good looking direct bolt-ons available for the Third gens in the 17x9.5" size.
They estimate 2 to 3 weeks untill they are in and ready to ship.
I'll let everyone know when I hear that they are in.

Thanx for posting the update. I also have been waiting for these wheels to be remade. When I was at Englishtown, SLP said that they were going to rerelease them soon.
I bet all the people who have been storing and hording their extra sets hoping to make money are wishing they had sold them by now!

Did you guys see that you can buy them direct from Ronal for $250 each. They can also paint the inserts body color for extra $75. Check out the Appearance boards for details. Gary for Ronal has been posting

Tonyrodz,
I don't need to worry about running in the 14's these days, but you do!
Did you ever take anything you owned to the track? I didn't think so.
BTW, how's that POS TA we sold you running?
