Weight loss!!!

Got a few questions. I used to have an ls1 z28 that I got down to 2950lbs w/ me in it. It was a 11.6's bolt-on car. I now have a third gen t/a and am looking to lose some weight on it. So far I have removed the front sway bar and the panhard rod stabilizer bar(above panhard rod). What else is an easy way to lose weight on these cars? Draglites are on the way. A/c and heater are comin out. I would like to keep a basically stock interior(no taking out seats(front ones) or carpet)) but get the car as light as possible. Any suggestions?

How did you get your ls1 car down to 2950 with you in it?

They're most made of plastic from what I understand.

I ordered it for the factory with noooooo options cept 3.23's. Stock it was 3350 w/ me in it and almost no gas. Loosing a few hundred pounds isn't too hard

While pulling parts at the local Pick-a-Part for a future product I discovered the threads on most of the fasteners are way too long. By removing them and either getting shorter bolts or cutting and chamfering the threads you can loose some weight.

If you do remove the rear seats you could also remove the seatbelt assemblies which are quite weighty. The front ones could be replaced by harnesses if you want.Theres also the front seats themselves which could be replaced with light aftermarket ones.
