KYB or Koni??

I currently have Monroe gas adjust struts and shocks and they are really unexceptable. Can anyone compare Koni yellows with the new KYB AGX? Price on each?

There is no comparison the koni's are much better for road racing and are more expensive. The KYB's however will definately give you a smoother ride for daily driving . Its a give/take decission and really a personal choice. ( wives usually would perfer the KYB's).

I have the Koni Red adjustables. They are pretty good but but I liked the ride that my old Bilsteins provided better.

Are you saying that the Bilsteins were softer or harder than the reds.

As for the reds do you know if their adjustment range overlaps with the yellows at any point - like 3 on the reds equals 1 on the yellows or something.

Don't know about any overlap between red and yellow. I'm sure in reality there is, but I've never seen anything said or published.

As far as between Bilstein and Koni the word is compliant. My Konis seem more jiggly/harsh. The Bilsteins more composed. I've done some adjusting on the Konis, but it doesn't seem to improve the jiggle factor much.

If money is not an issue then get Koni.

I have the AGX's in front and they're a great shock. They give you 4 settings which is something I didn't know about when I bought them (thought it was 8) like the picture and the adjusting screw is on the very top of the strut where the dust cover is. Setting #4 will make my car follow every single little bump on the road similar to an air bag system while 1 is about stock, 2 is just firmer than stock which is where I keep it most of the time. I got them for $113 a piece at tirerack.com. I don't have any experience with the Koni's so I can't offer a comparison. Good luck with your decision.
