the bolt in ones are $189 but the weld in ones are only $89 but you have to cut your floorpan for the weld in ones. anyone do this? is it a pain in the neck? or am i better off getting the southside weld ins for 160?

I've got the bolt-ins from a group purchase WAY back and they aren't "loose". Some say weld em in but I wasn't sure if I was keeping the car or not and what's stopping you from just welding in the bolt-in ones later on?

I think he was suggesting that you get the bolt ins and just weld them, they dont require any cutting, mine are welded in

No you dont have to cut the floor, I didnt bolt them at all, followed the directions for setting them up, then just welded.

Since when are the weld-in Alston SFC's $89? What is your source? They were roughly $179 delivered to my door when I bought them about 3 years ago. The weld-in version was always a little cheaper because it didn't include mounting hardware. The bars themselves are the same for both versions.
