9 bolt pbr brakes, please help

I have a 9 bolt rear with no rotors or calipers. I have the rotors from my 10 bolt and the calipers from there too. I know the calipers won't fit, but I can't buy new ones.

What models had the proper pbr brakes that I need. Autozone and orileys cant find them anywhere.

Did the 89 have an option for rear disk on the 10 bolt, because all I find are one listing for calipers on the 89. This makes me believe there was only the bw disc option or there is no listing for it and they are only showing the calipers for the 10 bolt.

Also will my rotors from my 82 10 bolt work for the 9 bolt.

Yeah I have no core either, which makes this a pricey venture.

The Auto Zone caliper part numbers you need are C366 (Left) and C367 (Right). Each have a price of $70 and a core of $70 also, which does in fact make them a bit pricey. You'll also need to get your hands on the caliper carriers from somewhere. All other pieces are replacements/rebuild parts.

Any disc rear from '89 to '92 will have the correct calipers, and I'll swear that the '93 thru about '97 rear calipers will work, the only difference between the early 4th gens and 3rd gens being the e-brake design. I don't know about the '98 and up style rear calipers regarding this. They're all practically the same, tho.

As for your current disc rotors, they won't fit. Different dimentions between the different caliper designs.

About the core issue, here's a thought. When I got my front PBR calipers from Auto Zone, I returned my old iron calipers and the chick behind the counter refunded my core anyways. She had no clue.. my new calipers ran me $55 for the pair.

If $$$ is tight at the moment, you could always rebuild your old iron calipers with the recall kit and I hear they work fine. Then you could take your time and find a complete rear PBR setup. I've seen a few go on Ebay for $125-200, including the e-brake cables. Not too bad IMO.

Sorry, I almost forgot.

Call Thunder Racing. They sell the complete kit pictured below, for 9 bolts:

okay, if I rebuild the iron calipers, and use the old rotors (from the 10 bolt) can I hook it up so that the brake system from the 10 bolt works with the 9 bolt's brackets? It has the bracket for the pbr brakes. Does this work to mount the 10 bolt iron calipers too?

Does anyone know how much the kit from thunder racing is?

No, iron calipers won't bolt onto these style brackets. The iron calipers bolt directly to the backing plate itself. You'd need different backing plates and fit them to the 9 bolt housing. I guess I may have been leading you in the wrong direction, assuming you were going from 10 bolt TO 9 bolt.

If you already have the 9 bolt backing plates, I'd just slowly put the PBR system together. Maybe you could swap in a drum rear in the meantime?

How much? I dunno...call them. They're a sponsor.
