who has a racing harness in their car?
I'm installing an 8pt. roll bar this weekend and I'm not sure about where to put harness tabs. Obviously the shoulder one will go on the cross bar but I'm not sure how to attach the crotch and lap belts. I guess I can weld a plate to the floor for the crotch belt tab but I'm not sure about the lap belts.

My lap belts attach to the factory locations. The crotch belt needs to be attached to the floor behind the driver's chest line. I used large fender washers on both sides of the floor to prevent the bolt from pulling through the sheetmetal.
i welded 1x2 steel to the floor pan and then used a piece of angle to make a double shear application for the metal tab on the crotch strap to bolt to, same with the sholder straps since i don't have rool bar or cage. the lap belt mounted with eye bolts in the floor and fender washers.

As sitting in seat, the mount has to be placed behind your shoulders if looking at side view. (actually behind the front of your body) 45 degree angle from floor of the car. Threw the seat or can be in front of OEM seats. Imagine holding a yardstick on your chest to floor of car,,, behind that.
