tieing frame together

Every now and then I'll see comments like"re-enforced frame" and I had my frame "tied together" so it won't twist...What is meant by these 2 terms?

Usually subframe connectors... most of us consider them to be something that belongs there, but the factory forgot to put on.

SFC's are suprisingly cheap. I'd expect them to cost more for the increase in chassis stiffness they provide. They are definitely on my list of things to add to the car...thats after I get an engine in it though.

uni-body cars like the f-body have some flex in them

to stop most if not all the flex people have come up with some great ideas..

like sub frame connectors, strut tower bars, wonderbars..

these items can really produce a more solid frame, and therefore more power can be put onto the frame and thats a good thing
with out damaging it..

SFCs completely change the car. Stock you can FEEL the car twisting when you take turns. But after the SFC's that twist is all gone. Also it takes away alot of road rattles.

Yea, stock, our frames suck. Heres a way to see it. Open one of your doors, then push it shut, but dont let it latch or close all the way. Now jack up a wheel on the same side as the open door, and watch how the door doesnt line up anymore. Just something i noticed on my car one time...

I noticed that when I had the car up on Jack stands to get the last few header bolts out. No matter what I tried I couldn't adjust the jack stands to straigten out the frame. Kinda scary if you ask me.

No, a different thing... LCAs are what connects the rear end to the car. They're weak too, just not as weak as the stock car body. SFCs reinforce the body itself. You'll get to where you'll need better LCAs eventually as you continue to add power. But SFCs are the first thing you'll need.
