E-Brake
My E-Brake stopped working.
It still works but faintly.
I can pull it all the way and my tires wont lock. It will just slow the car down SLOWLY.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You're in luck. All you've gotta do is crawl under the car and tighten the adjuster. It's located just above the driveshaft mid-way. It will have the cable coming from the brake handle to a "T" bracket with a threaded rod in it (where you adjust it) and then the cables going to each of your rear brakes. Easy as pie.
Later models (89 or 90 and up) have a "self adjuster" supposedly located at the handle under the consol. I'm out to find it this weekend and see where my problems are.

Yeah now I just need to browow a jack, I'll try to get one from my Grandpa.
Is there a Way I can Adjust it so I dont have to pull the e-brake back so far?
When it was 'working' I had to pull it back like to a 70Degree Angle. IS that right? Can I make it 35 or less somehow?
Now reason
its just... winter! lol

Could this auto-adjuster thing be the reason why on my '91 my e-brake doesn't work on the first try but after I pull it once or twice it does?

are you talking about when you pull the ebrake and the thing just pops up and does nothing. Like it just flies up not even tightening the ebrake. if so then yes taht is caused by the ebrake system. It was one of the flaws of the self adjusting style.
