Front end rebuild confusion

I need some help here guys, i was searching the boards looking for the most complete front end rebuild kit. The more i looked the more confused i got.

Can someone tell me what kit is the most complete, and what i will need besides the kit?

Thank you very much

i don't know about a kit but i've just about rebuilt mine. you need inner and outer tie rods for both sides and the adjuster sleeves. idler arm , you can replace the centerlink, control arm bushings and ball joints. then you'll need to get it aligned.i havn't done the ball joints yet, probably this winter, then i'll be replacing the springs too.

I bought their front end rebuild kit for my '92 RS along w/ the centerlink. I did a lot of research before I bought anything and I came to the conclusion that PSC has the most complete kit. Their kit includes all federal mogul parts & energy suspension bushings.

Spohn also has a front end rebuild kit (link @ top of page). I would compare prices and go w/ the less expensive one.

And dont forget, if your car is lowered and you plan to do a front end rebuild, now would be the time to look into a bumpsteer kit. Fix that suspension geometry!

Spohn sells a Moog rebuild kit, add some poly A-arm bushings (Prothane or ES) and you have a front end that will likely outlive the car.

Yes, I am very happy w/ this kit. I would highly recomend this kit to anyone that still has the stock front end suspension. If you do order this kit, make sure that you tell them the size of your front sway bar because if you dont they will just assume that you have the 32mm sway bar bushings. I had to send the 32mm back because my RS came w/ 34mm front sway bars.

You will end up paying more for Spohns kit that has the same items/brands as the kit from PSC, trust me I did the math. With the PSC kit ($279.95) you get everything that you need except for the centerlink but you can get it through them for an additional $65.00. With Spohns kit ($342.60) the bushings, (end links to name a few) are not included. I just dont like to spend extra if I dont have to, I work too hard for my $$.

true, but if you want to "best" front end rebuild, Moog is the way to go

I was under the impression that the PSC kit used Moog components. I could be wrong though. In terms of "completeness," I'd say that Spohn is the answer. They sell two kits for the front end:

Prothane poly bushings:
Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings
Panhard Bar Bushings
Ball Joint Boots
Torque Arm Bushing
Tie Rod Boots
Front Sway Bar End Links
Front Sway Bar Bushings
Rear Sway Bar End Links
Rear Sway Bar Bushings
Transmission Mount
Front Control Arm Bushings

Moog front-end hardware:
Moog Centerlink
Moog Idler Arm
Moog Inner Tie Rod Ends (Qty. 2)
Moog Outter Tie Rod Ends (Qty. 2)
Moog Lower Ball Joints (Qty. 2)
Moog Adjusting Sleeves (Qty. 2)

The combined price is more than PSC, but considering how complete and meticulously assembled the kits are from Spohn, I'd go with them. The Prothane kit includes almost all of the bushings you'll need for the entire car, so it's an extra bonus. All I can see missing in the kit is motor mounts. EVERYone has nothing but praises after dealing with Spohn and getting their parts installed, so that's my suggestion.

http://www.spohn.net/index.cfm?fusea...&productid=115 (no need for the additional parts at the bottom of this page if you get the poly kit.)
