Rear End Does a Wiggle During 1 - 2 Shift
Hi gang,
My 86 Sport Coupe 305 700r4 has always done a little wiggle when it does the one - two shift, when I'm giving her a good dose of the pedal.
Does anyone else's do that and what might be the cause of it?

Mine does that, but I have a shift kit in it. When it shifts from 1-2 at WOT, it breaks the tires loose.
If you ever watch on TV when they do runs on the street with high HP engines, and they are filming directly from behind the car, you'll see the back end break loose and shift a bit. It's the engine over powering the tires.

Mine has a pretty hard 1 - 2 shift alright, and it does make the right rear break loose and chirp. And it is sort of cool when it does the wiggle
Makes it look like it's packing serious hp

hmmm.....well i would say that in order to stop that you have two options:
1. Purchase a 2x4 of wood and place under pedal to insure no WOT which may cause tractions loss.
==OR==
2. Purchase one dozen eggs as this may take some getting used to. Place an egg under the gas pedal, everytime it cracks try a new one until the egg no longer cracks and your traction problems should be solved.

Oh sorry I didnt know you were loosing traction, I thought the car was just wiggling back and forth. Maybe try some aftermarket LCA's.

Are you still running the stock shortblock, dude?
If so, congrats! I like to see people getting their money's worth out of an engine.
EDIT: Wait a sec, I just realized that I have 249,000 kms, so I guess your mileage isn't TOO far off!
