I have sportlines now and love the stance, but it won't launch worth a damn. I refuse to raise it back up, so I may just have to live with heavy tire spin, but are there any springs that will still keep the low ride hieght, yet allow wieght transfer? I thought about the Moroso springs, then cut a coil or so... Any ideas? I have Koni red adjustables already, are they good for transfer, or are they hurting me too? Thanks for any help.

when you lowered the car did you get the relocation brackets for the rear lower control arms.. their suppose to be a must with a lowered car to get better traction.

allot of people use v-6 springs
Yes, I have the brackets... I also have Hotchkis arms, etc. I have upgraded most everything but the torque arm.

I put the v-6 springs in my car and it definitely sits lower in the back. I ended up having to lower the front to make it level. My car launches very hard. Consistent 1.64 60' times. Originally posted by craig

You can get them brand new a Advance Auto Parts. I think that they were less than $50. I also have the relocation brackets and didn't help my 60' times for some reason. I put them in different holes and ended up putting them in the stock location. Now my car launches hard. I launch on the bottle.

I am intersted in the same thing. I have thought about lowering my car for that mean looking stance, but I don't want to hurt launching because racing is more important to me. So if anybody knows of a combination that works and lowers the car, I'm intersted too. I have also thought about the V6 springs, but I don't understand how that would lower the car. I can understand the weight transfer.
When I put the v-6 springs on the car I didn't know that it would lower it either but when I did it was definitely lower in the back so I had to cut the front springs a little to level it.
I think that because the spring diameter is much thinner it causes the rear to sag or something. It is very noticable.

The weight difference in the rear going from a v6 to a v8 isn't all that huge, mine sat about stock height with v6 springs--in the rear anyway. I installed a set of 1.5 inch drop springs and the rear dropped about an inch and the front stayed the same--those front v6 springs squish down a lot with a v8. Side by side, the v6 front springs were 4 inches shorter than the 1.5 inch drop springs--but sat at the same height installed. Sure v6 springs will help you launch, but cornering will suffer.
Thanks... I may be fabricating my own torque arm soon. I already have the poly trans. and torque arm mounts. Like I said above, I have upgraded most everything... I am just tired of spending a fortune on this thing, so I am beginning to get frustrated with it. I pulled one time, a best of 1.996 60' time, the rest are in the 2.1 - 2.4 range. I don't know what worked on the 1.9 , but it felt great. I can only imagine what it would be like if it will hook up like needed.
I am running BFG drag radials...

I'd think that cut drag launch springs from Eibach would work quite well, but not as well as if you left them alone, you need that ride height and travel to transer the weight. For traction, if you didn't care too much about handling/durability I'd go with a set of Hoosier Quiktime D.O.T. tires, those things hook like mad on my friends chevelle. Poor in the rain though...
