Iam getting Eibach Sportline springs for my car. I was wondering what everyone that HAS or HAD these springs thinks of them. To low, stiff, etc. If can throw some pics in to. Thanks Guys:lala:

Well the sportline is just as stiff as the prokit springs. The only problem with it that I see is that its lower. The lower you go the more you screw up your front and rear suspension geometry. So it counts what your going for. More performance? or more for looks?

I'm really glad I went with the sportlines over the prokit. They ride better than my stock Z28 springs but didn't lower the car as much as advertised, probably because the factory springs were sagging. As far as handling goes, the prokit may be better for all out handling, but the sportlines are still better than stock. I'm running 275/40/17 all around without any problems. I think you'll be happy which ever way you go. Good luck.

yes kumho makes a 245-45-16, i have four of them on my iroc. i bought the iroc and it was slammed to the ground in the front, and the tires tuck in the fenderwells. im not sure what drop they went with or how they did it, but it is extremely stiff, just the way i like it. ill post pictures when i can get some nice sunny weather. im wondering how much rubber i can fit in the rear with the stock iroc 16's. 275, 285?

Does anyone have pictures of the Sportlines on a Sport Coupe (no ground effects)? I really want to see what they would look like. Any clearance problems with aftermarket exhaust or SFCs?

I have the pro kit on mine now and I want it lower. he problem is that my exhaust will definitly drag over speed bumps. For some reason, my porkit springs made my last z sit lower then the one I have now and there the same springs. Just swaped them out. Ive been thinking of cutting my stock springs but my chiropractor keeps saying no

Hey RU-Qwik, your car sits just like I want mine to. How much do those sportlines cost?

I bought my springs about 6 years ago, so the current price is most likely differant now( I paid 245.00 ). Check Summit or Jegs, they both carry them.

I also have the Sportlines and I love them. I have a few recomendations though.

1. You car will ride rough but the handling is awesome
2. Replace your spring isolators, (mine rattle pretty bad)
3. You will need at the very least relocation brackets and an adjustable panhard bar for the rear. If not your rear end will stick out to far to one side and the car will lose a tremendous amount of traction.

So the Eibach springs definitely ride rougher than the stock IROC springs?

Me thinks I'll be using some Moog WS6 spec springs and maybe cut half a coil or so.....

I had the F-41 suspension package before I swapped to Koni / Eibach , I personally think it rides better now, just my opinion.

I have them on my Formula if that will help. I haven't had any steering geometry problems with them at all. I did get the adjustable panhard bar and LCA relocater brackets which helped out tremendously.

OK, since noone has any responses, let me ask a different question:

For all of those with Eibachs on their car in NJ (or anywhere else with horrendous roads), please tell me about your experiences with your Pro-Kits or Sportlines. Any horror stories or have you had generally good luck with them? Any info to help me make up my mind is appreciated.

You have to go slow over speedbumps and stuff and the ride is pretty rough. You will get beat up pretty good but the performance outways the ride quality.

Can someone with sportlines and stock tire diameter give measurement from the ground to the fender on a level surface?

I say go with the prokit if all you're lookin for is a mild drop. reason why i didn't go with sportlines was because from reading different posts, they can drop a car as much as 2" which would've made mine almost undriveable. my prokit dropped it 1" at the front and 1/2 at the back. i love the way it looks now. not too low and not high anymore either. the ride does seem a bit harsher but still tolerable. they are recently installed so they should drop a little more as time goes by. search for the thread "pics of my newly lowered ride" to see my pics.

I'm sure I could get used to the rough ride, seeing as my old worn out suspension is rough as it is. The rear of the car sits much lower than stock due to failing parts, but I like the height of it. It looks lower than the Pro-Kits would bring it, so I'm thinking of going with the Sportlines (drop 1.6" front & 1.3" rear) and put new GM isolators on front and back (raising them back up a few tenths of an inch). This should work perfect I think.

89 Iroc Z: when I get the Sportlines (eventually) I'll still have the stock tires on it. It'll be a while, but I'll post the gap height here.

I have Intrax which is basically a 2 in. drop. That with my 3in exhaust spells trouble. For the most part its ok but there are certain times when the poor pipes get the scrapage and im like ughhhh no! so i was thinkin of switchin em up with eibach pro-kits or sportlines. this guy at work wants 2 sell me pro-kits and kyb shocks/struts but i was thinkin of gettin sportlines cuz i like the low look but it wont be as low as my current intrax. the ridin with the intrax is pretty rough and I have gotten used to it. They handle pretty damn good. So i just wanna seea pic of pro kits on a 3rd gen with ground effects so i can decide on what 2 do when the time comes to work on my suspension which may be soon due to my exhaust scrapage (which isnt very often but still bugs the **** outta me). my 2 cents.

I have this pic of my car that was on autotrader.com and i saved it before they took the ad down. I dont have a digi cam and my scanner is broken so i dont have fresh pics of my car. its a kinda blurry pic and its just how it is now minus the exhaust system. check it out here: http://members.cardomain.com/pimpin86iroc
