Got the Rear Springs installed

Well I got the rear springs installed. That was easy! I didnt even have to remove the bolts from the rear shocks or anything. I just kinda wedged the old springs outs. Only took me about 20mins. from start to finish.

They are Drop Zone springs that I got for $100 shipped, I couldnt afford the others, Im sure they will be better than stock.

These pictures are an instant drop. Havent driven the car at all just raised, installed and lowered.

Going to do the fronts now. I dread them!!!

I just drove it for about 5 miles and checked the rear for center to see how much off it was and its within an 1/8 on each side...I thought it was suppose to be off more than that. Should I still get an adjustable panhard bar?

Well, I cant go any farther, when I took the passenger front spring out and the rubber thingy on the top came out I noticed its all mangled and all outta shape so Im going to go to the chevy place tomorrow and get some new ones and also I had to take my front sway bar bushing lose to allow for the a-arm to drop far enough to get the spring out so Im going to replace them too.

after putting the springs side by side, MAN! Im almost scared to put them in, there may be to much of a drop in the front. They say 1.75 in. I can deal with that but not more.

I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Hey Wishmaster, it's called a spring isolator. All it does is prevent metal-metal rubbing and noise. Your could actually be re-used. Just put it on the spring so the pigtail fits into the molded ending from the stock spring. Use black electrical tape to hold the isolator on the spring and re-install. I have put 3 different sets of springs in my car and re-used the same isolator on all of them. Mine looks like yours.

Yeah, your isolator looks normal. Mine were the same when I installed my Jamex springs. As Tom said, position it on the spring correctly and then tape it in place. It will be fine.

yours looked all mangled and crap? If the other is not in the same condition as this one wont that change the the way the spring sits in there? Therefore the heighth wouldnt be the same on both sides..

Is this the top or the bottom of the spring? I would assume the top or does it matter? the other end is still round. So im goig to put that on the bottom?

That pic is the top. Also, be sure the pigtail on the bottom, is installed over the "drain hole" in the a-arm or your car will sit too high in front.

I just got my Moog springs in yesterday, and my rear's look so much bigger than those dropzone springs. Maybe I'll steal my girlfriends digital camera (that i bought her for x-mas) later and take some pics. But the Moog cc635's are huge......i was shocked.

MdFormula350- I think that those Moog cc635's are a cargo spring. I am pretty sure that I have read on a post here b4 that the cc stands for something like cargo carrier or something like that. I would do a search, but I am pretty sure that will raise your rear-end quite a bit.
