Pro-kit and Sway Bar End Links ??

I just installed the Eibach Prokit last week and when I went to bolt up my sway bar end links, the hole in the front control arm was offset towards the wheel about 3/4 - 1". Aren't the end links supposed to be straight up and down? How did everyone mount their sway bars? Bolting it up as is, the bushings don't seat right and distort. They are the stock RS bars and were left in place minus the end links during the spring swap. Any ideas?

Also, I ordered a set of 36/24mm bars from Top-Down Solutions, I assume they mount the same, but I don't want to modify something only to reverse or replace it when I get them in case they might be wider.

Thanks

They aren't gonna line up perfect, geometrically speaking. The end links will appear to lean a bit. If they do appear to be binding WAYYY too much, then I'd worry about something being bent. Can you post a pic?

yeah being offset a little doesn't bother me much, but when the sway bar is only 2-3 inches above the control arm the 1 inch offset makes a big difference. The sway bar ends are supposed to be parallel to the ground with the car at ride height, correct?

Also, it's the same on each side and the car hasn't ever been wrecked so I don't think it's a bent part problem.

I'll try to take some pics tonight. Maybe I'll just turn the bar up and put longer end links on.

I'm having the exact same problem. I just installed some aftermarket bushings and they keep sliding out of the brackets.

Isn't there supposed to be a locator on the bushing to stop it from sliding out like that or did you cut the locator off for some reason to get it to fit with the steering brace.

I had the same problem. I built the car for the silver state classic challange and have been driving turns pretty hard and expected it to bind but it didn't.

Yeah, the stock bushings had it but these don't. Not only that but the brackets that came with them had a straight bolt pattern rather than offset, so I used the old ones.

I hope my bushing doesn't push itself out

I ended up just twisting the sway bar up and using the stock endlinks. I'll look at it closer when I do my 1le brakes and again when I get the new sway bars. When I bolted up the stock links, they seem to match the angle of the strut pretty closely, maybe it's designed to be like that.

Thanks anyways.

Well my stock bushings never slid out and the springs have been in there since last March, so if yours are stock I wouldn't worry about it. These bushings came with the PST kit and they're flat on top.
