Does anyone have DROPZONE springs (I need the proper part #)???

I just bought a set of dropzone lowering springs,,,before I install them I want to make sure there for a 3rd gen camaro, see the company that sold them to me sent them in a box with 93-up written on the side of it. I called them and they told me it was just the box and my springs were for a 82-92 camaro. I need a second opinion,,,as I would go insane if these springs were not for my car after the old ones were already out!! I have emailed Dropzone but they havnt returned any of my requests. So what I need does anyone have a set that arnt installed or recently installed that they could tell me what part number is written on your front "AND" rear springs.

heres a picture of the fronts, you can see the number on them. I forgot to take a picture of the rears before I installed them but I think the number was 3100...I cant remember. You probably got them for the same guy I did and he told me the same thing...The were in the wrong boxes...

what did you win yours for? When you get them installed send me a picuture of them installed.
Hey also before you install them take a measurement from the ground to your fenders front and rear and tell me what kind of drop you get.

ok great my fronts are the same as those ones you have!!!! Yep I got them from Kentronsales off of ebay. I got mine for $104us + shipping. What did you get yours for? umm ya here are some measurments that I took with it sitting in the garage,,,,,,can you measure your car now with them installed,,,so I can match them up with mine???

- Floor to were the front airdam lip starts is 7-1/2".
- Floor to were fender starts (vertical to the center of the rims) is 26-7/8" all the way around.
- top of the front tire to were the fender starts is 2-1/8"
- top of the rear tire to were the 1/4 panel starts is 1-7/8"
- floor to the exhast pipe (near cat.) under passangers door sills is about 5-1/4" to 5-1/2".

All measurments I took were with the factory 16" iroc rims with stock sized 245/50/16 tires all the way around.
I would love if you could take a few measurments off your car. Oh ya what shocks did you go with??? Are you happy with the dropzones?? your the first person that I talked to that has these springs so sorry for all the questions. Thanks for your help.

Oh yes,
Do you have any wheel rub or anything like clerance problems?
Did you have to do any other mods to your suspention to get the right alinment on your front wheels?
Do you have any pics of your car after its lowered?
Did you do the switch yourself or did you pay to get it done?
haha more questions eh sorry Im just excited to get them on and I dont want to have any snags. Thanks

yep, that exactly where I got mine. I paid $101.00 total with shipping.
I went and measured everywhere you measured and came up with these:

- Floor to were the front airdam lip starts is 7-1/4".
- Floor to were fender starts (vertical to the center of the rims) is 26" (FRONT)
- Floor to were fender starts (vertical to the center of the rims) is 27" (REAR)
- top of the front tire to were the fender starts is 1-3/8"
- top of the rear tire to were the 1/4 panel starts is 2-1/4"
- floor to the exhast pipe (near cat.) under passangers door sills is about 4-1/8" to 4-1/4"

I have KYB's front struts and KYB's rear shocks.

As far as being happy with them, I would have to say yeah only cause its not like im going to go out and buy other springs to compare them with. But I can say that my car rides better and they seem to handle just as good if not better than stock springs.

I did put them in myself and you will or should I say you better go get a wheel alignmnet cause your camber is going to be way OFF! I havent had any clearance problems yet.

Ive only had them on about a week and the guy told me that they should drop more cause they are only 3/4" lower than stock...I took measurements before I installed them to see what kind of drop they would give me.

Is that you car in your sig already lowered?

Nope I didnt put them in yet, there still in the box, that pic must just be the angle or the way the car was sitting! Your car doesnt look that low in the pic, maybe like you said they will sag/settle abit, is the car on a slant making it look higher?? I know my front springs (in it now) must be kind of new buy looking at them but the back ones are rusted all up and saggy. You dont know of a good tech artical on changing springs, im still not sure if im gonna do it or not? I still have to borrow some spring compressors. How much do those shocks run, Ive never seen them around here before (but again i never really looked too hard for them).

Oh ya was your tires and rims the same as mine cause that would effect the measurments. Even the front air dam is only lower by 1/4 inch weird. Thanks for those mesurments.

you mean the measurements that you gave me are without the DropZone springs in? That is the way yoru car sits now? Your stock springs must be shot...I guess.
My tires are all "toast" meaning they have no tread on any of them, I need tires bad!...How many miles on your car?

Like I said I got an instant 3/4" drop all the way around so adding that to my totals for the front and rear hieghts is what you should be at with stock springs.

Hold up thought are your tires 245/50/16 ??? Yep thats my measuments without lowering springs. The front springs are at least a few years old no more (they're super clean with black paint on them perfect). Would my car settle any cause I just mesured it in the garage and its been sitting there for a few months not moving cause its being stored for the winter. My car is showing 140,000 kms what ever that is in miles?? I do have a fiberglass box, 2 subs and two amps in the back,,,,and I have all the factory cast intake and other heavy stuff that may make a bit of a difference. Nice car you have by the way!!!,,I want a set of those clear side markers too,,,did you get them from ebay....what did they cost ya?
