SFC installation problems???
I am ordering my Competition engineering SFC today and was wondering if the carpet needs to be removed for the installation of these and if there are any other minor modifications or tips to installing these. Car is in the sig.

if they are bolt in then you won't have to pull up your carpet. if you will be welding them then you need to pull the carpet away from the floor where you'll be welding so you don't burn it. if you're not planning on welding, you really should, bolt holes can elongate over time.

actually if they bolt in you may still have to pull up the carpet. it depends on where they bolt to. if it is to the floor board then you need to pull it up to drill the holes so they don't go thru the carpet. if that's the case leave the carpet up until they are welded also...because like you were already told the holes elongate over time and welding is much better.
