I seen one on ebay i think,,,all they did was fab up two plates to bolt to each of the towers,,then they welded in a square or round bar (with each end cut on an angle to mate up to the plates,,,then removed the bolts painted the hole thing and reinstalled it,,,Ill look for a pic but i dont think i can find it again. Looks ok to me!

I had a strut tower brace made for my car. Mine is a 84Z28 with a carburetor. I also have a LP system added to mine. The reason for the LP is that in Australia gas is so expensive and you get good results from it also. Anyway I had the strut brace made up with a bracket mechanism like the Hotchkis one and put a 1 inch steel tube between the towers. It works great. I am in the pizza business and it only cost me 6 large pies. Easy.

I made that one for my friend and sold another one on e-bay.

Would anyone be interested in buying one of these? If enough people want one then I could start a group buy. I could get all the brackets laser cut too.

I'm the "friend"and thats a pic of my dirty engine bay above. The brace is really nice and is strong as a hell. In my opinion it makes a big difference in the feeling of the car.

Mine is the one with the LPG system. So used to using the term LP that I guess it was mistaken. I dont have pics yet, but will get them when possible. The carburetor has a snorkle sort of set up. Liquid Petroleum is quite often used over here to run cars. I am able to use petrol(gasoline) or LPG(liquid pertoleum) on my car. The LP is much cheaper. gasoline=85cents/litre LP=40cents/litre. I also have an oil drip system for the upper cylinders to make sure that it is oiled properly. The octane rating is not quite as high as petrol and the performance is ok, but not like petrol. As far as the strut bar goes, I think mine looks really cool. Like I said the brackets are made like the Hotchkis brace. Will get pics later.
