For future reference at the slavage yards:: I'm trying to find a used posi unit for 2-series carrier. Most of the camaro/firebirds I've come across are lacking. What other GM year/make/models do you think I may find what I'm looking for?

G-Body's should have them and there was a wack of those.

Also check malibus, and any early mid 80's size RWD car (except wagons) should have a 7.5" 2 series.

also a good tirck is look for Trailer hitches, as they are a good sign but not always that there is a POSI.

 

S-10 pickups/blazers use the 7 5/8" diff.

I believe the Astro vans come with Posi too.

 

You do have to be careful as if you go to IIRC 86 or 87+ it is 3 series with 28spline axles.
