i was talking with one of the heads of hotchkis and asking them about why they don't make a caster/camber setup for our cars but they do for the mustang and they siimply said they don't believe there's a demand for such things with our thirdgen cars.

if more companies made an adjustable caster/camber plate for our cars would you choose it or just stick with your stock worn out version?

mind you they will see this so the more response the better!

I'd like to get an adjustable mount. I'll prolly just end up getting the Ground-Control unit.

i would love to see an adjustable one with threaded adjusters and index markings, so i could get my car aligned for the street then tune it more to my liking, wouldn't it be great if you could dial in a degree or two more camber for autocross. Or dial out for daily highway driving. You could also adjust caster to suit your tires and other mods. i wonder why no one makes something like that

I would like to see this product get manufactured as well, my only problem i have with hotchkis is how expensive there stuff is compared to other manufacturer`s for example, there LCA`s are $241.99, while comparable other`s are $100 and up, i think we should contact spohn and see if he would be interested in producing these, i think he could make a killer product for a reasonable price. if hotchkis makes them for a reasonable price id definitely be interested.

I have fully adjustable J&M Caster/Camber plates and love them.

i really don't care who makes them as typically they are all the same darn thing. i just want something and it seems that really no one offers such. ground control is a nice alternative for a stock replacement but falls short.

Camber AND caster are BOTH fully adjustable in stock form.
You do not need to buy aftermarket strut mounts to have camber and/or caster adjustment.
Why do so many ThirdGen owners seem to think you have to buy special parts to adjust these???

The biggest reason so few companies make replacement performance strut mounts is that the demand is not there - cause the stock ones are not all that bad, and the adjustability is already there.

Also - whenever you change the camber or caster - the toe has to be re-set, so it is not all that easy to change it back and forth.

agreed, however....much like your product as well it's a great alternative that's cheaper than puchasing a new gm unit and looks better.

i guess you could throw this into three categories being full custom adjustable, your common gm unit, and an aftermarket version if you wanted to be presise.

that or you could get to work and start making some.....!

Actually........ most thirdgens do not go below negative one half degree on camber and about four and one half degrees positive on caster, especially the pre 87 thirdgens. I bought my J&M plates for the solid sperical bearing instead of mushy rubber and I can now set my camber at negative one degree and caster at six degrees positive. Try that with the factory plates on an 84! (without a rattail file that is)

But you made and sold your own so there must be demand for them, whether they are adjustable or not, people like aftermarket parts.
