Quick Question on Kenny Brown SFC's

After looking threw tons of posts about different SFC's Im very close to buying Kenny Brow SFC's. I just need to know if anyone has welded them in WITHOUT modifying the exhaust. I have dual cats and Im not sure if thats a major factor or not. I feel that Kenny Browns are the strongest ones out there for frame renforcements...just my opinion. If I have to modify the exhaust because I have dual cats then....Spohn SFC's here I come!!!!! I hope you guys can help me. I dont wanna start the questions "who makes the best?" or "are they worth the money?" I searched on here over and over for finding out if Kenny Borwns fit with dual exhaust and didnt find an answer.. TIA..

I have the Kenny Browns and am in the process of installing them--I don't have the dual cats but let me tell ya--the way they fit I don't see ANY stock exhaust fitting with Kenny Browns. Love the way they're made though

Why cant you see Kenny Browns fitting with stock exhaust?? According to a couple people I talked to (that had dual cats/Kenny Browns) they went in with very little problems. Im gonna take the gamble and order them for my car in the next couple weeks and see how they "go in." Hopefully I'll be able to return them if I see that major mods will be needed to get them welded in. Later..

Thats the thing--some people have had problems, some people haven't. Generally the y pipe comes too close to the rocker panel where the subframe connector goes. I am in almost the same position as you are now (only difference is I have a single cat) and I am putting the Kenny Browns in anyway because I love their construction. I plan to make my own y pipe--its a pain in the rear just to move the exhaust pipe 1-2 inches in one spot, but I really like these connectors. BTW, the Kenny Brown connectors required some slight grinding (mostly where they wrap around the torque boxes--I modified the connector with a $20 4 1/2" angle grinder from Harbor Frieght Tools) to install correctly--they could just be thrown on and welded but I want a slick installation--do it once, do it right, and you'll never regret it. I think its worth the trouble. Just my 2 cents, which ever way you go good luck with your install.

I have the kenny brown subframes and dual exhaust routed in the stock location and they fit perfectly. I love em. I'll get a pic tomorrow if you need one.

Thanks 377Z.. The more I thought about KB SFC's the more I kinda realized THAT some people had problems while others did not. I guess it really depends on the year. I feel somewhat comfident that KB SFC's WILL fit with little problems because I talked to two people on here with dual cats and both of them had early 90's F-bodys. One was a 90..the other was a 91. My car is a 91.

If you get a chance No4NJunk could you post a picture.. Thanks.

here ya go metalhead. I still have to clean up the welds (even though I've been saying that for year and a half). The top 2 are the pass side and the last is the drivers side showing the part that connects by the tranny crossmember.
