only place ive seen them is at the dealer or gm parts direct. The dealer wanted about $200 a piece if i remember correctly brand new. you could prolly find a good set used on ebay for way cheaper

geez, you could probably make them on a lathe from a giant block of aluminum cheaper than $200 apiece...

(yes, i know, that is assuming you have access to a lathe or other machine tools. but still, $200 is ridiculous. for $400 in drums, i'd say spend $800 and go for a disc-rear conversion)

Car: Camaro of course
I have been building a 26' Ford speedster on paper and this is what i found for brakes (kinda like Camaro drums I think)

http://www.kanter.com/drumroto.html#BUICK

If you one could get the Aumin. Buick finned rotors than that would be the next best thing to discs.

I just got Al drums from a junk yard. Minimal cost. Had to get them turned though.

No aftermarket companies bother manufacturing aluminum drums because most thirdgen's came with iron drums. Most people will want to replace to factory original specs and the drums would also cost more to manufactur than regular iron.

Any chance would you guys know if they would fit a 4th gen?
I was told by a local f body guy that I could ditch my 4th gen iron drums for a 3rd gen aluminum drum.
He said it was close to 10 pounds of rotating mass removed.
I have a 97 v6 bird

I just finished installing aluminum drums. I like them a lot. Not all that noticable in weight savings but I'm sure it'll help with the heat and inertia. I got them through a friend a while back for $40, pads and rebuild kit was under $50 so for $90 I've got some very nice rear brakes. They work great!
