how to lift an fbody?
well i just picked up an aztech kit for my 86 camaro. the kit makes the car look lower, looks like stock effects but they are actually 2 1/2 lower then stock. im looking for a way to lift the car up so they arn't too low to the ground, don't want to smash them. was looking at springs but am unsure what to get. anyone got any ideas? looking for 1 - 2 inch lift. i don't like the way the kit looks on this car in the picture, not a fan of 2 tone....

leigh, the kits are almost impossible to get, i was lucky to find one. got it from a friend of a friend kinda thing. they ae expensive also. i have a lot of weird hard to find things i guess. got a real testarosa kit for the car im not using, not one of those cheap rip off's like motion glass has. this one has the effects and flares. if i can get my hands on another kit, you want me to let you know? i know i can get one for a trans am but i'll have to look for another camaro kit....

If you are wanting your car to look lowered why are you puting on a kit that requires you to raise it. You should just keep the stock gfx and actually lower it IMO.

yeah i agree
if u are on a real cheap budget i am pretty shure you can actualy take teh used springs out and just torch them off 2 inches and put them back in and it will give the same affect

Kontrax,
How much is expensive? I am interested but don't want to spend alot. What i really want is a chin spoiler or something, because the front of Camaros looks so high.
Thanks

um 84, stock effects are stock effects, these are much better and wider. i don't want to raise it up so it looks stock, i want to raise it up so i don't break the front effect...if i wanted a stock look i would get stock effects. well if your not looking to spend a lot then i wouldn't buy this kit. the testarosa kit i posted up is 1500 and the aztech kit is 900. they are very hard to come buy thats prob why they are so expensive. i think im not even going to use the kit, im thinking i just want to lift the rear of the car now. i see some fbodies around here that are lifted in the back and it looks nasty. don't know how they did that though. is there a kit? oh and btw, the kit doesn't require a lift to the car...
