I need a new posi unit

hey, im new at this but i just wanted to know if anyone knows where i can get a new posi unit for a decent price, because my is almost shot. Everytime i peel out i only leave one tire mark. I was told to get a new posi unit. Is there anything else i can do to fix this or does anyone have any other ideas?

SLP sells a take-off unit that is practically brand new for $99. It is well worth it for the price.

The SLP unit is only for 28 spline axles correct? Your car, being an '87 will require a 26 spline posi unit.

you could use the slp takeoff unit. however, you'd need 28 spline axles.

i think moser makes their axles in 28 spline. would be an improvement over the stockers...

First you need to make sure that you are not running a 9-bolt system. Then for $100 you can get the SLP posi. I would just get some 28 spline axles, they will last longer, are cheap, and will hold up a lot more power than those 26 splines.

You plan on keeping this car for awhile? and driving it rough like you said you do above? Then don't get a used takeoff SLP- get a quality Auburn posi or you will be paying for another unit + install in no time flat.
