PST Front end Rebuil Kits

I am ready to rebuild the front end on my car.

I like what PST is offering, but I would like to know if anyone has used this kit and if they like it or not?

Is the Energy susp. kit a better way to go?

Just installed the polygraphite kit in mine and I am very happy with it.

Where can I find these kits? I don't see them on any of the sponsor sites, and a search for "PST front end rebuild kit" only yielded the people who are using them, not who's selling them.

wow those prices look pretty good. Is it comparable to the quality of MOOG parts? And also is that the complete kit? what about the idler arm and centerlink?

Centre link $45
Idler Arm $35

Inner Tie-rods 2 X $35

For the price of the TRW or Moog you can even throw in struts and shocks (KYB) with a set of Eibach springs. That is why I want to know how good the quality is.

you can pick up the Moog parts from rockauto.com for 310 w/o shipping but then again it won't have all the bushings that are in the PST kit. I already bought KYB struts and shocks and figured i would also do the whole front end while i'm at it and was about to go with Moog until I saw the price of the PST kit

Same here, I didn't realise that the MOOG kit didn't have any bushings in it!

BTW, where can I get streering box rebuild kit for a quick ratio box? Mine is really sloppy and I'd love to tighten the whole front end up at the same time.

I would look into the PSC front end rebuild kits @ www.performancesuspension.com
I opted for the PSC kit over the PST kit because the PSC kit is more complete, the only thing that the kit did not include is the centerlink that I just purchased from them.

i actually just put in a rebuilt steering box in my IROC since i busted my old one in an accident. I'll have to ask my dad where he picked up the rebuilt one from and i'll let you know. The price for the PST and PSC kit is the same after all parts have been added up so whats the diference between these two kits now?

ah i didn't know PSC's kit was TRW. Thats the same stuff as the Moog components since they're both manufactured by Federal Mogul. Well if PSC's parts are TRW I think i'll go with that kit instead, I don't really care too much for the graphite bushings enough to make a fuss over them. Thanks for the tip!

Ok so i checked out the site, realized that their bushings are also graphite impregnated, so then why would the PST kit be bought over the PSC kit when PSC contains superior parts (if i'm not mistaken)?

When I was doing my research on front end rebuilds, I read a thread on this board that explains why the PSC kit is better than the PST kit. It had something to do w/ better quality & the PSC kit came complete w/ everything you need to do a front end rebuild w/ the exception of the centerlink which they carry also.

I'm making my own kit... bought the ES bushings I needed separately. I'm buying the Moog hard parts right from Summit Racing.

The PST kit is popular because they were the biggest advertisers of a Polygraphite Rebuild Kit. Supposedly they don't use Moog parts in their front suspension pieces (center link, tie rods, etc).

PSC uses Moog.

Both places use ES bushings.

Hey TomP check out www.rockauto.com, i know they have great prices on the Moog components, pricing it out individually it comes out to 310 i believe which is the cheapest i could find those pieces anywhere. If PSC does use TRW parts and ES bushings then thats the way I'm going to go
