No it won't hurt anything as long as you don't use a torch to cut them. I cut mine and have had nothing but positive results.

it depends on how many miles are on the springs as well. it isn't to bad on newer springs but old ones it can cause problems. definately make it dangerous at high speeds if you do it wrong.

half a coil shouldn't cause to much of a problem though. just get people laughing at you if your car gets that "floating"effect.

yep your right but then you just need to get nicer shocks....floating is cause but the spring rate changing so much your shocks cant handle it anymore so they bounce or float so a stiffer set of shocks will cure that....even if there just newer theyll be fine. I have 1/2 coil cut off the front of my DZ lowering springs and even with one bad leaking strut and good knows how bad the other one is (its not leaking or has no more fluid to leak) I still have only a little floating at high speeds over (100kmh say) with crapy side roads with dips and quick hills. But those shocks are going to be gone by wed. so ill get back to ya on if the new shocks cure it ALL up the little floating I do have.

if you can afford the bilstein hd's they will be the best investment you make.

you could put some 30 dollar gabriels and get that effect. anythings better than nothing when it comes to replacing worn out suspension pieces.

personally i have no idea how you cut so much off your coils and not have major problems. i took half a coil of brand new eibachs and it dropped alot. have any pictures with that much cut off?

i have pictures of it but nothing from a far to give u a perspective of the drop im changing the rods over to titanium rods for strengh so its no running its stuck in the warehouse but hopefully in the next couple days i can get it out on the street and snap some pictures for you.. the rims on it are the spares 14's with pretty big rubber on the front and 15's and phat rubber on the back sits like a beast looks like the engine is in the ground. personally i love it the rims well the rubber right now sticks into the fender but ive got 17" american racing aero chromes with 1 1/2 rubber those go on very soon and thell tuck nicely into the fender ive had ppl ask if im on bags...

yah mines preety low i got 1/2" from the top of the tire to the fender lip....and if you have the car on a drive on lift,,,,youll see your front rubber snubs ride right on your frame,,,,, mine are,,,,if those break off youll just get rubing then,,,,but you can make newones that are countersunk holes in some rubbler and bolt them right thru and bolt them to the frame! They last as the stockers just brake and fall off cause there technicly bolted to the frame its just that the rubber is glued to the metal plate that bolts to the frame. I was told my rubbers should fry out sometime soon. Oh well nothing a moded hockey puck wont fix......whhhooo hhhooo got to love CANADA!! hehe
