Brake Lines Leaking

I've just finished putting on new Earl's ss brake lines. I began to bleed the system and fluid starting squirting out from the rear T and beginning of the new center rear line. WTF? Just how tight do I have to have these things? I don't want to twist and destroy the hard lines! Is there some magic thread lock that I'm supposed to be using and am stupid?

No, you're not stupid. What has happened is that your old hard lines can't take the pressure and are beginning to crack and leak. You can get the preflared brake lines at your local Car Quest. They are a little expensive though.
