4th gen to 3rd gen front change

Would it be possible to put a front suspension dropped out of a wrecked 93-02 camaro? Has anyone tried this? Would it be worth the trouble?:hail:

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No

Why would you want to do this? If you just absoultely, positively need to do it, look up the user Fatal88 on this board, he's done it and could probably help you out.

well my crazy reasoning is to try to run the SS rims but i have to run adapters for that. I myself feel it's not too safe doing this. My neighbor has an 87 IROC and just put an LS1 under the hood. That was fun and interesting to say the least. He pointed out the drawbacks between suspensions of the 3rd to 4th. I know i can put a newer rear in with a little spacing magic, but again i didn't want to run the adapters for safety reasons. I'll try to find fatal88 and ask him some questions. I'm still new to this so i'm learning this website. This Thrdgen.org has been the most informitive about my own camaro and it's an honor to look and listen from you guys. Thanx!

Email Andris Skulte of www.skulte.com and ask him how many people have repoerted failures with his spacers. Swapping the entire 4th gen front suspension is a little extreme just to solve that problem. Spacers are WAAAAYYYYY more cost effective, and much easier to install.

Have you ever looked at the backspacing of the factory 91-92 camaro rims! It's huge. The distance from rotor hub to the spokes on those rims is the same as an SS wheel with adapters. Don't worry about running adapters, they are totally safe and an ok solution to bolting SS wheels on a 3rd gen.
