brake lines

Car: 1982 Trans Am & 1982 Corvette
Engine: L-98 with LO-3 induction. 350 CFI
Transmission: 5 speed and vette has 700r4
Axle/Gears: 373's in T/A .. vette unknown
brake lines
trying to install a 84 disc brake rear end in my 82 trans am, it seems every brake line is flared different even the proportioning valve ...... what are my options here besides changing every possible brake line on the car, are even my brake caliper on the front flared different

Yes, every single one is flared different. 82 & 83 had SAE flares, 84-up got metric.
Easiest thing to do is to get the end of the rear steel line off of a metric car, and splice it onto the car's brake line with a flare union. Then you just use the later-model rubber line, and leave the entire rest of the car and rear end untouched. That's how I put a 91-92 rear into my 83.

thanks again for the help, I went ahead and went to the bone yard and snagged the correct brake lines, which was definatly the harder of the two routes, but as I like to say always the hard way
